Overview

As a Product Installation Engineer at Deloitte's ConvergeCONSUMER, you bring AI-driven products to life in client cloud or on-premise environments. You'll install and orchestrate containerized apps with React front ends and Python logic, focusing on reliability, observability, and fast time-to-value. You work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, provisioned deployments and seamless client integrations. This role combines hands-on cloud engineering with security collaboration to deliver scalable, repeatable deployments. A meaningful hook is helping consumer-focused clients unlock growth through advanced cloud solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Install and deploy containerized applications into clients' cloud environments or data centers
  • Manage and maintain containerized applications for performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering and security teams to ensure proper provisioning
  • Test basic functionality to declare deployments ready for business use
  • Adapt logging/monitoring to client operations for observability and traceability
  • Assist developer teams with remote debugging and issue resolution
  • Automate deployment processes to accelerate client value
  • Communicate cloud deployment requirements clearly (access groups, roles, networking)
  • Work with VPCs, managed services, and storage solutions
  • Manage data ingress/egress across cloud contexts
  • Ensure compliance with client security and operational standards
  • Stay updated on industry trends to improve deployment practices
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of professional cloud engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Ability to travel 25% on average
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Hands-on deployment and management of containerized applications in client-facing environments
  • Strong familiarity with cloud infrastructure fundamentals (VPCs, managed services, storage, access groups, roles, permissions)
  • Infrastructure-as-code and automation experience
  • Security-conscious deployment practices in collaboration with client teams
  • Observability and monitoring customization for client operations
  • Data ingress/egress management across cloud environments
  • Curiosity for emerging cloud technologies and continuous improvement mindset
