Responsibilities- Build and develop a high-performing engineering organization with a culture of ownership and customer focus
- Create clarity from ambiguity by identifying high-value problems and translating opportunities into actionable roadmaps
- Define and drive the engineering strategy for AI-powered developer tools and intelligent workflows
- Partner with product management, AI/ML, data science, platform engineering, and OCI service teams to align priorities
- Provide technical leadership across distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and AI/LLM integration
- Establish rapid experimentation mechanisms to evaluate emerging AI technologies and make data-driven decisions
- Drive predictable execution across multiple concurrent initiatives and manage dependencies and risks
- Define success metrics for developer experiences and use signals to refine strategy
- Develop senior engineers and leaders through coaching and technical sponsorship
- Represent the organization in architecture reviews and planning discussions, influencing broader decisions
Key requirements- 10+ years of software engineering experience with complex production systems
- 3+ years in engineering management leading software teams
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and turn loosely defined opportunities into executable plans
- Strong foundation in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, or large-scale backend services
- Proven track record building and retaining high-performing teams and leaders
- Experience driving initiatives from exploration to production adoption with cross-team collaboration
- Solid understanding of AI/ML and LLM technologies and their application to developer tools
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
