Overview In this role you partner with the HR team to advance people-focused strategies within a leading North American construction firm. You will drive compliance, employee relations, leave administration, and talent processes across multiple offices and projects. You'll support safety, inclusion, and performance initiatives while collaborating with unions and management to sustain a productive workforce. Responsibilities- Lead complaint investigations and manage the litigation process
- Conduct investigations related to EEO violations and charges
- Ensure compliance with state Paid Leave programs and oversee FMLA administration
- Manage Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) compliance processes
- Conduct internal audits for FLSA and ERISA compliance
- Participate in collective bargaining and labor negotiations to support fabrication strategy
- Collect data and prepare reports for compliance needs
- Administer the Drug-Free Workplace program
- Lead annual EEO-1 and VETS-100 reporting
- Administer Employee Recognition and Service Award programs
- Track and maintain employment metrics and reporting
- Respond to employee inquiries on policies and benefits
- Support talent review and succession planning
- Assist with other HR projects and travel to various locations across North America
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in HR, Communications or related field or equivalent experience
- 7 years' human resources experience
- Union experience strongly preferred
- HRIS knowledge is a plus but not required
