Overview

In this Senior Manager of UX role, you lead the design and research organization behind Amazon's hiring portfolio. You will shape experience strategy across Recruiter Hub, Hiring Hub, and Candidate Hub, ensuring a cohesive, trustworthy, and human-centered system. You build and elevate a team, set quality standards, and partner with senior leaders to influence product direction and business strategy. You drive AI-enabled, user-centered interactions that are transparent, controllable, and understandable. This is a chance to define how AI-assisted hiring feels and functions at scale, with measurable impact on trust and outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow the UX organization, including hiring, org design, headcount planning, and performance management.
  • Own experience vision across the hiring portfolio and ensure a coherent, connected system.
  • Define the agentic interaction model for AI-assisted hiring and establish trust principles and escalation paths.
  • Create scalable interaction models, design patterns, and measurement systems that apply across the portfolio.
  • Set the design excellence bar and lead craft, including visual, interaction, research, and storytelling quality.
  • Influence product and business direction by integrating recruiter and candidate insights into roadmaps.
  • Own strategic communications, including research narratives and executive updates.
  • Drive rigor and delivery by grounding solutions in research, data, and usability findings, and align with engineering.
Key requirements
  • 10+ years leading multi-discipline design teams (visual, interaction, research, etc.)
  • 5+ years people management experience including hiring and career development
  • Experience owning experience strategy and setting quality across multiple products or a product suite
  • Experience partnering with senior Product, Engineering, and Research leaders
