Overview In this role you will drive the mechanical design of new motorized consumer products from concept to market. You join SharkNinja's NPD team to tackle challenging engineering problems, build prototypes, and validate designs for first-to-market products. You'll work across functions to translate physics into tangible solutions and see your work ship on shelves and in media. The position emphasizes hands-on prototyping, rigorous testing, and collaboration within a fast-growing, AI-aware culture.

Responsibilities- Design and develop consumer products from concept to ongoing support
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development to understand systems and tradeoffs
- Lead cross-disciplinary brainstorming, prototyping, and testing
- Guide and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, co-ops, and interns
- Contribute to products' lifecycle from development to retail presence
Key requirements- BS in Mechanical Engineering or MS in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years in design and development
- Track record turning enabling technologies into market-ready products
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Prototyping skills including 3D printing, machining, hand tools
- Lab experience with controlled experiments and test instruments
- CAD proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo
- Experience using Excel, Minitab, or MATLAB for data-based decisions
- Clear communication and ability to translate data for technical and non-technical audiences
