Overview In this Lead role, you guide a cross-disciplinary protection and control team to deliver complete design packages for protective relaying and SCADA systems in major substations. You will collaborate with multiple groups to ensure coherent designs, mentor engineers, and manage client engagements from proposal through as-built stages. This position combines technical leadership with project execution, QA/QC, and strategic relationship building. You'll influence critical power infrastructure projects and help shape delivery at scale.

Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate a multi-discipline team from proposal to as-built stage
- Develop comprehensive engineering design packages for protective relaying and communications
- Create SCADA packages including Point Data Sheets
- Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior staff and drafters
- Foster trusted relationships with senior engineers, managers, and clients
- Present technical solutions to customers and respond to technical inquiries
- Lead or participate in client meetings and site visits for data collection/delivery
- Ensure QA/QC processes are followed on all design packages
- Delegate, plan, prioritize, and review work of other engineers
Key requirements- Seven (7) or more years of electrical engineering experience with protection and control focus
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (MS alternative/ Civil/International degrees considered)
- Valid driver's license with acceptable record
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
