Overview Join Beck Group as part of the MEP Component Team to shape early MEP system definitions for diverse projects. You will guide preconstruction outlining, budgeting, and compliance to set a healthy project trajectory. You'll bridge Beck's Design & Construction teams with Engineers of Record to ensure constructability and alignment with budget and schedule. This role offers impact across multiple project phases and hands-on collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities- Lead early phase definition activities for MEP systems (narratives, SD reviews, preliminary budgets)
- Perform risk identification and site condition assessments
- Coordinate between Beck teams and external Engineers of Record for design integration
- Conduct peer reviews (SD/DD/CD), identify design gaps, and ensure code compliance
- Manage interface between consultants and internal teams; align design with budget and schedule
- Support procurement phase with bid leveling, scope gap analysis, and cost optimization
- Provide field and commissioning support to ensure systems are built as designed
- Resolve RFIs and troubleshoot conflicts during execution
- Assist with system performance alignment and commissioning
Key requirements- 8+ years in preconstruction or commercial construction
- 5+ years in MEP preconstruction / estimating
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems
- Familiarity with IPC, IMC, and ASHRAE standards
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
