Overview In this role you lead complex substation and power generation projects from planning to completion, blending technical leadership with project management. You guide design decisions, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and own scope, schedule, and budget. You'll be the primary client contact, mentor teammates, and help ensure quality and consistency across deliveries. Responsibilities- Lead delivery of complex substation and power generation projects from planning through completion
- Act as technical point of coordination, guiding design approach and reviewing content
- Apply hands on electrical and power systems knowledge to support planning, execution, and problem solving
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, commissioning staff, and other disciplines for alignment and quality
- Translate technical decisions into clear project direction for teams and clients
- Proactively manage risks, scope changes, and financial performance
- Serve as the primary client contact on assigned projects with clear communication
- Support project delivery standards, documentation, and quality practices
- Mentor and guide engineers and project team members in technical leadership
- Collaborate with Group Leaders to align project needs with long term goals
- Support proposal development and planning efforts with technical insight
Key requirements- 8-12 years of experience in substation, power generation, or related electrical infrastructure projects
- Strong background in technical design leadership and direct design/review contributions
- Demonstrated experience leading technical project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary efforts
- Solid understanding of project management fundamentals: scope, schedule, budget, risk management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts to clients and teams
- Experience in a consulting or professional services environment preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
