Overview

In this role you lead Materion's talent acquisition function, shaping enterprise-wide recruiting strategy and driving performance across the full hiring lifecycle. You partner with HR and business leaders to align recruitment with organizational objectives, optimize processes, and elevate the candidate experience. You will manage a diverse team, oversee vendors, and leverage analytics to benchmark and improve outcomes. This position can be based in Mayfield Heights, OH or remote (ET time zone preferred).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the recruitment team to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment
  • Oversee the TA budget process and provider/vendor management
  • Partner with VP, Global HR to design/implement enterprise-wide recruitment strategies and report progress with metrics
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities across all levels; ensure quality, consistency, and strong candidate experience
  • Manage relationships with external recruiting vendors/platforms; oversee SLAs and compliance
  • Oversee advertising strategies, background checks, employer branding, and recruitment technology enhancements
  • Evaluate vendor solutions, identify improvements, and optimize recruiting resources cost-effectively
  • Leverage recruitment analytics to assess performance and drive process optimization
  • Develop candidate attraction strategies across job boards, social media, networking, and branding initiatives
Key requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of professional recruiting experience with leadership in high-volume and strategic environments
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven ability to lead a team of recruiters and foster a collaborative work environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in talent acquisition
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across all organizational levels
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving recruitment initiatives to meet goals
  • Proficiency with recruitment technologies including applicant tracking systems and recruitment marketing platforms
  • Preferred: HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
  • Preferred: experience in automotive/advanced manufacturing or fast-paced, highly technical, high-volume settings
  • Preferred: experience implementing HRIS, ATS, and recruitment marketing tools
  • Preferred: demonstrated success in building and executing recruiting strategies for exempt, non-exempt, campus, and executive roles
