Overview

As part of Blackstone Private Wealth, you will help design, launch, and manage registered funds and other vehicles across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support product development, regulatory filings, and marketing materials, shaping solutions for high-growth private wealth channels. The role offers exposure to a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and opportunities to influence fund structures and regulatory strategy. You will be a trusted advisor to investment professionals and business stakeholders, contributing to Blackstone's Private Wealth growth agenda.

Responsibilities
  • Design, launch, and ongoing management of registered funds and other vehicles
  • Coordinate fund formation efforts and product development across jurisdictions
  • Create and manage registered fund board materials
  • Manage regulatory filings (e.g., 8-Ks, 10-Q/Ks, Form 10s, N-2s, N-CSRs, prospectus updates) and oversee day-to-day legal matters
  • Support development of marketing and fundraising materials for registered funds
  • Monitor and implement legal and regulatory developments affecting registered funds with Legal & Compliance and external counsel
  • Provide regulatory and legal guidance to investment teams and senior management
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of practicing law either at a law firm or in-house, with focus on registered funds and investment management law (Investment Company Act of 1940)
  • Capital markets or similar public company experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with BDCs and interval funds preferred but not required
  • Experience with public company filings preferred
  • Experience with ERISA, retirement assets, and private fund vehicles helpful but not required
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player with cross-functional stakeholder management
