Overview

As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you provide strategic and technical leadership to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. You lead a manufacturing engineering team and drive Lean initiatives and process innovation to support NPI and operational excellence. You partner with cross functional teams to align projects with plant and company objectives. You help scale processes and implement improvements that have real impact on performance. Responsibilities
  • Lead and set direction for the manufacturing engineering team
  • Support plant goals across safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost reduction
  • Participate in plant leadership to shape operational strategy
  • Prioritize engineering projects to align with business objectives
  • Provide technical leadership to cross functional teams
  • Drive Lean initiatives and broaden Lean culture
  • Identify and implement process improvements and new technologies
  • Support engineering change management, SWIs, testing, and audits
  • Ensure processes meet specifications and efficiency targets
  • Develop and manage capital plans and budgets; support NPI activities
  • Manage external technical service providers and contractors; support quality systems (PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, error-proofing)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of manufacturing engineering and/or technical leadership experience
  • Experience with assembly, fabrication, powder coat paint, and electrical testing
  • Experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience supporting Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration
  • Analytical and problem solving capabilities

  • Quality systems including PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, control plans
