Overview As a Senior Mineral Resource Geologist, you will advance geologic modeling and resource evaluation within Stantec's US Mining team. You'll support resource-reserve estimation and related disciplines through multidisciplinary collaboration, with leadership on projects and client initiatives. The role blends technical execution with business development to grow client relationships and project pipelines. You will contribute to sustainable mining solutions and digital-driven approaches in exploration and mining operations. Responsibilities- Build geologic models using MinePlan, Leapfrog, Vulcan, Geologist or similar packages
- Analyze and interpret data with database and GIS tools such as Access, Excel, MinePlan, ArcGIS, MapInfo, Torque
- Author independent technical reports as Qualified Person (NI43-101) or Competent Person (JORC) after gaining necessary experience
- Plan and manage resource exploration and evaluation programs
- Assist in developing work with new and existing clients
Key requirements- Diverse background in exploration and mining projects, with emphasis on field exploration, database management, geologic modeling, and resource estimation
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Attention to detail and QA/QC capabilities
- Understanding of NI43-101, JORC and SEC SK-1300 reporting requirements
- Awareness of project-related risks and ability to develop a local and national professional network
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication abilities
- Willingness to travel to remote locations for short periods
- Willingness to pursue a P.G. or QP within the first two years of employment
