Overview

In this role you will lead design efforts for civil site projects across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors, collaborating with engineers and consultants to deliver analyses, design work, and permit coordination. You'll support budgeting, training, and cross-functional teamwork to meet client expectations and project goals. The position emphasizes practical problem-solving, regulatory compliance, and delivering build-ready solutions that align with IMEG standards. You will work across disciplines to shape buildable sites and positive community impact.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design efforts for civil site projects across various types
  • Develop designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software per code and IMEG standards
  • Oversee permit applications in coordination with team, client, and jurisdictions
  • Perform surface modeling, watershed, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer design
  • Support bidding, construction administration, and project progress documentation
  • Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information
  • Support planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical, efficient solutions
  • Prioritize safety, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary coordination
  • Identify issues requiring guidance from Project Manager
Key requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • 2+ years (4 preferred) in Civil Engineering and Construction
  • Proficiency with design techniques and technical plans
  • Strong analytical and technical skills in civil engineering
  • Ability to train and mentor staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team collaboration and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
