Overview In this role you will lead capital projects and develop manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and safety. You'll collaborate with plant and branch operations to anticipate and resolve issues, while driving cost reductions and quality improvements. Responsibilities- Coordinate maintenance and repairs for plant locations
- Follow manufacturer instructions and procedures; request special services as needed
- Conduct plant visits to assist with project planning and asset maintenance
- Provide manufacturing engineering information to customers
- Oversee capital expenditure programs (budgeting, planning, implementation)
- Develop cost reduction, quality and safety improvement projects
- Perform payback analyses, obtain quotes and oversee project installations
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through analysis and workflow planning
- Develop manufacturing processes and confer with vendors on product design and capabilities
- Lead Manufacturing Engineers (Level I-III) as applicable
- Specify tooling and address manufacturing and quality problems
- Lead Teams across levels to drive projects and process improvements
Key requirements- Bachelor in Industrial Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electro mechanical systems
- Asset justification
- Industrial engineering skills (work measurement, labor reporting, plant layout)
- Understanding of building and maintenance contracts including liability issues
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- MS Office and AutoCAD
