Overview In this senior role you define and execute Amadeus' US industry, regulatory and government affairs strategy. You own high-level external engagement with policymakers, associations and government bodies, aligning positions across business units and corporate functions. You will shape the advocacy roadmap, anticipate regulatory developments, and translate intelligence into business impact to support growth. This role offers visibility, influence and opportunities to strengthen Amadeus' US presence and market access.

Responsibilities- Own and lead the US industry and regulatory affairs strategy, including advocacy roadmap and engagement plans.
- Anticipate and escalate regulatory, political and geopolitical developments affecting the US business.
- Lead senior-level engagement with institutional stakeholders, trade associations, government contacts and external advisers.
- Drive executive alignment on positions, messages and response strategies across functions.
- Lead cross-functional working groups on US regulatory priorities and strategic industry issues.
- Represent Amadeus externally in senior forums, conferences and institutional meetings.
- Translate regulatory intelligence into business impact for risk mitigation and growth opportunities.
- Measure and report outcomes against engagement plans and business development contribution.
Key requirements- A university degree in Economics, Business, Law, International Relations, Public Policy or related field; equivalent senior experience welcome.
- 15 to 20 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, industry affairs or strategic stakeholder management.
- Proven track record leading complex advocacy strategies with senior decision-makers.
- Demonstrated relationship-building and influencing at institutional or policy level with coalitions and advisers.
- Strong knowledge of the US political, regulatory and institutional landscape as it relates to technology, travel and market access.
- Understanding of geopolitical trends shaping EU-US relations, trade, digital policy, AI, data, competition and travel technology.
- Excellent executive presence, negotiation and coalition-building; confident in presenting to senior audiences.
- Strategic and geopolitical thinking; ability to connect regulatory developments to business impact and growth.
- Sound judgement and discretion handling sensitive political and reputational issues.
- Full professional proficiency in English; Spanish or other languages are a plus.
