Assistant Manager

In this role you will build and lead a high-performing sales team to exceed store goals, while delivering exceptional customer service and educating customers on tile products and installation. You will collaborate with cross-functional store teams to maintain inventory accuracy and smooth operations, shaping a welcoming, knowledgeable shopping experience. Your leadership will drive sales growth and reinforce The Tile Shop brand through professional standards and enthusiasm. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on coaching, scheduling, and performance tracking.

• Build and develop a team of Sales Associates
• Train and coach staff on policies, procedures, and duties
• Proactively greet customers and develop lasting relationships
• Sell tile and related products to exceed customer expectations
• Learn store and warehouse operations and lead by example to hit sales goals
• Learn installation processes to educate customers
• Track store sales goals and provide delivery status updates
• Maintain professional standards to protect brand
• Develop schedules for Associates and Warehouse Personnel
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 1+ years of retail management experience
• Previous sales experience
• Proven ability to build, develop, and motivate a sales team
• Strong work ethic and drive to exceed expectations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, commission-based environment
• Open to learning and growing from feedback
• Positive leadership with enthusiasm
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Sense of design and ability to combine styles, colors, textures
