Overview In this role you lead regional maintenance excellence across a network of distribution centers, elevating site standards and operational performance. You'll mentor senior and area maintenance leaders, embedding leadership development while ensuring consistent program execution. You work hands-on with site teams to drive measurable improvements and maintain client asset value. Responsibilities- Assess network sites, close performance gaps, and drive corrective actions to meet KPI targets
- Evaluate site conditions, maintenance execution, and team capability; deliver clear improvement plans
- Establish and enforce maintenance standards to protect and enhance client assets
- Conduct Health Check audits and QA reviews for consistency across the network
- Provide site leadership with visibility into maintenance conduct at their sites
- Serve as hands-on mentor to Senior/Area Maintenance Managers; model leadership in the field
- Identify leadership gaps and build individualized development plans
- Teach budgeting, workforce management, KPI interpretation, and escalation to emerging leaders
- Develop talent pipelines to sustain performance and values
- Standardize work methods, improve reliability, document processes, and train teams
- Develop reliability plans to increase uptime across facilities
- Provide expertise in Material Handling Equipment, Industrial Automation, and Robotics
- Use data and metrics to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and drive improvements
- Advise senior leadership on equipment end-of-life using ROI analyses
- Foster a proactive safety culture and ensure 100% safety training compliance
- Monitor, audit, and enforce safe work practices; support safety drills
- Build relationships with safety program managers on client and account sides
- Build trusted relationships with site Operations leaders and Program Managers
- Ensure KPI targets are met or exceeded and report performance in reviews
- Manage labor and budgets, including OT approvals and PO/invoice processes
Key requirements- Bachelor
- 6+ years managing employees and performance, including salaried leaders
- Experience in regional or multi-site maintenance leadership with 80+ employees
- Proven track record of change leadership and performance improvement across multiple sites
- Functional knowledge of Material Handling Equipment systems, maintenance practices, and 24/7 logistics environments
- Willingness to travel 70-80% and deploy on short notice across North America
