Overview As Americas Rail Vehicle Maintenance Facility Leader, you will drive senior-level delivery of VMF projects across the Americas, starting with Seattle. You will lead large, multidisciplinary teams on design build and progressive design build programs, ensuring on time, within budget outcomes while maintaining high technical and commercial standards. You will build trusted relationships with clients, contractors, and regulators, shaping VMF strategy and growth. Responsibilities- Provide senior leadership for VMF delivery in Seattle and across the Americas, ensuring on-time design build/progressive design build outcomes.
- Oversee multidisciplinary design management teams and ensure alignment of technical, commercial, and delivery objectives.
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships with transit agencies, contractors, and owners.
- Provide senior commercial oversight including scope, resourcing, fees, cost forecasting, and change management.
- Identify and manage risks, opportunities, and program interfaces; support delivery decisions with project controls.
- Lead VMF pursuits, proposals, and interviews; contribute to market strategy and external representation.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control across large, complex VMF programs and integration of civil/site, track, SMEP, architectural, and operational systems.
- Mentor and develop future VMF leaders and support recruitment and succession planning.
- Monitor progress, milestones, and interfaces; address delivery challenges and escalation as needed.
- Contribute to knowledge capture, lessons learned, and capability development across regions.
Key requirements- Minimum 15 years in Rail delivering VMFs or similarly complex rail facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree considered an asset
- At least one professional designation: PE, P.Eng, RA
- Senior design and project delivery management experience on complex rail projects
- Experience with Design Build delivery; Progressive Design Build preferred
- DBIA certification beneficial but not required
- Proven ability to integrate civil/site, track, SMEP, architectural, and operational systems under DB/PDB
