Overview

In this on-site role, you will manage the QMS to ensure FAA and AS9100 compliance and drive continuous improvements. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams at the Santa Clarita site and abroad, coordinating audits, document control, and regulatory documentation. You will support FAA inspections, regulatory approvals, and RCCA-driven actions to sustain product quality. This role offers the chance to shape quality culture and stay current with industry standards in a defense manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure FAA and AS9100 compliance and support regulatory inspections and approvals
  • Lead and coordinate QMS activities: document control, change controls, quality events, deviations, and CAB
  • Plan and facilitate internal and external audits; prepare for 3rd party audits and manage audit plans
  • Analyze audit findings and drive corrective and preventive actions with department heads
  • Provide training on QMS requirements and best practices; promote continuous improvement
  • Maintain QMS documentation and manuals (AS9100, FAA manuals) and update for regulatory changes
  • Coordinate RCCA processes and support program quality engineering and customer quality actions
  • Generate metrics and reports; support proposal, design, production, service lifecycle activities
  • Support regulatory product certification and documentation reviews; communicate regulatory changes
Key requirements
  • 3+ years with AS9100 QMS implementation and maintenance in manufacturing and product development
  • Experience in quality processes and defense industry documentation systems
  • Lead Auditor certification (IAQG AS9100) or AATT preferred; CQA/CQIA/CQE preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems; SAP and SharePoint/Office 365 advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and stay within budget
