Overview In this role you will embed with government and public sector clients to design and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions that drive measurable business impact. You'll work with cross-functional teams to prototype, build, and hand off production-grade AI applications, while mentoring peers and coaching client teams. You'll balance quality, safety, latency, and cost in scalable architectures and contribute reusable assets. This is a fast-paced, client-facing engineering role that sits at the intersection of AI, cloud platforms, and enterprise delivery. You'll join Deloitte's GPS Engineering and Product practice, helping transform public sector technology with a product engineering mindset.
Responsibilities- Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions
- Partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery
- Lead working sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes
- Prototype and deliver working AI solutions using industry expertise
- Contribute within an FDE pod and mentor newer team members
- Coach client teams on platform capabilities and AI enablement
- Drive end-to-end sales and delivery support with demos/POCs and knowledge transfer
- Develop reusable assets including code, prompt libraries, and runbooks
- Build AI-enabled solutions and scalable engineering patterns
- Deliver production-quality code with testing, CI/CD, logging, and documentation
- Design extensible functionality and support sprint planning
- Mentor and provide guidance to others
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering
- 4+ years in software/data engineering or analytics engineering
- 1+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments
- 1+ years AWS experience with Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, Knowledge Bases, or Guardrails
- 1+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions
- 1+ years building reliable, well-documented code
- Ability to travel 50%
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship and obtain US government security clearance
