Senior Design Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Overview

In this role, you support a Data Center design team to guide projects from design through construction, ensuring client needs are met and design standards are maintained. You work closely with owners, consultants, and contractors to coordinate deliverables and documentation. You help optimize design solutions and cost efficiency while preserving quality and reliability. This is a client-facing, cross-functional role that combines design oversight with project administration, in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager(s) in coordinating and administering the project through all phases of design and construction
  • Prepare and manage project documents (reports, schedules, invoices, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes) and maintain information in project management software
  • Coordinate meetings and facilitate communication of conceptual designs and project documentation
  • Maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for architectural elements
  • Review design RFPs and manage external design consultants through design and construction
  • Communicate design standards to internal and external project partners
  • Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • Identify innovative design/construct solutions to reduce costs without affecting quality or reliability
  • Comply with SOX controls where applicable
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in construction project coordination or equivalent
  • Experience in project management on large-scale construction programs
  • Experience in Design/Architecture/Civil works
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent presentation skills and client-facing effectiveness
  • Team player with collaborative mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture experience
