Overview As a Stationary Operations Engineer, you will oversee and maintain stationary equipment across our facility, ensuring safe, reliable operation. You'll apply deep knowledge of boilers, HVAC, chillers, and other building systems to prevent issues and optimize performance. You will work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure compliance and rapid issue resolution. Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and monitor boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other stationary equipment
- Read blueprints, schematics, and specifications; apply knowledge of building air systems
- Respond to service calls and diagnose causes; implement effective solutions
- Perform routine inspections and document findings in the CMMS
- Conduct preventive maintenance per approved plans and standards
- Diagnose malfunctions and determine root causes; perform repairs
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and replacements
- Ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams for seamless operation
- Act as first responder during stationary equipment emergencies; pursue safety procedures
- Stay updated on trends and best practices through continuous learning
- Coordinate with teams to relay issues and follow up as needed
- Observe readings, adjust controls for safe, efficient operation
- Document logs and ensure accurate operation records in system
Key requirements- High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of facilities maintenance experience
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain HSPD-12
- Experience with operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and refrigeration units
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and sequences of operations
- Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical equipment functions and HVAC controls
