Overview

In this role you will ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of a Catalyst Plant at the Calvert City site while planning and optimizing processes, resources, and costs. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvements in processes and equipment, and manage capacity planning, budgeting, and investments. You will work closely with technical and support functions to meet safety, environmental, and financial targets. You will also coach and develop a growing team, uphold Evonik values, and maintain strong internal/external stakeholder communication. Responsibilities
  • Lead managers responsible for PMC, CPC, and SCM at the Calvert City site
  • Ensure safe, cost-effective, and environmentally compliant plant operations with continuous improvement
  • Develop and manage the plant budget and control costs to meet financial targets
  • Plan and manage workforce resources for adequate staffing and capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, RC 14001, and ISO 50001
  • Develop and communicate production plans with available materials, resources, and QC support
  • Establish operating parameters and guidelines for safe and environmentally sound operations
  • Support safety reviews, hazard analyses, and grievance resolution
  • Foster employee engagement and alignment with Evonik values
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external customers to support goals and satisfaction
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of production experience, preferably in chemical operations
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Experience working in a union environment preferred
  • OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) experience preferred
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 standards preferred
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus
