Overview In this Mechanical Engineer role you join a multi-disciplinary team to support construction projects at the Naval Reactors Facility. You provide technical expertise to execute infrastructure upgrades and major capital projects, working with engineers, managers and subcontractors. You will help scope, plan, and oversee renovation efforts for aging systems while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance. This position offers hands-on project execution within a mission-driven, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities- Interface with system/infrastructure engineers and subcontractors to provide technical guidance for project execution
- Support the delivery of construction projects from short (
- Collaborate with project managers, contract administrators and oversight personnel to ensure objectives and compliance
- Assist in scoping, development, and execution of construction work for infrastructure renovations
- Engage with government oversight and external partners to align on standards and progress
Key requirements- Bachelor in related technical, engineering or science field with minimum 9 years of experience; or Master in related field with minimum 7 years; or Doctorate with minimum 3 years; or currently a Principal Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Effective interaction with personnel at all levels, management, subcontractors, and oversight
- Knowledge of infrastructure design and construction
- Understanding of industry codes and standards
- Experience contracting construction services (NRF and external)
