Overview In this role you will handle a high-impact plaintiff civil litigation caseload within an Los Angeles-based firm. You will work closely with a small team to pursue toxic tort, mold, habitability, and personal injury matters, as well as business defense in state and federal courts. You will develop case strategy, manage hearings and trials, and communicate with clients throughout the litigation process. This is a collaborative opportunity at a long-standing firm with growth potential and direct exposure to motion practice, depositions, and jury trials.

Responsibilities- Manage plaintiffs' civil litigation caseload from intake to resolution
- Research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and litigation documents
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Conduct oral argument in state and federal court
- Develop case strategy with senior attorneys
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trials including first- or second-chair roles
- Provide ongoing legal counsel and case updates to clients
Key requirements- 2-12+ years of plaintiff civil litigation experience
- Familiarity with toxic tort, mass tort, habitability, or personal injury matters
- Active California Bar admission in good standing
- Experience handling motion practice, written discovery, and depositions
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small-firm environment
