Overview As Manager, Tax Accounting in the Partner Tax team, you ensure accurate individual income tax compliance and advisor support for partners. You will review colleagues' work, research complex tax issues, and clearly explain concepts to partners. You'll manage a client portfolio with limited supervision while maintaining ongoing client conversations. Responsibilities- Handle individual income tax compliance and related support for partners
- Review staff work papers and tax returns for accuracy and compliance
- Research complex tax issues to ensure partner compliance
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to partners, verbally and in writing
- Manage a client portfolio with minimal supervision and maintain ongoing client touchpoints
- Collaborate with team while able to work independently to meet deadlines
- Uphold integrity and a respectful, professional work environment
Key requirements- Five years of progressive experience reviewing federal and state individual tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Eligible to sit for CPA exam; Enrolled Agent or active CPA preferred
- Proficiency with web-based document storage, income tax software, and Microsoft applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong technical skills in High Net-Worth Individuals, Partnership and Multi-State Taxation Theory
- Excellent written and verbal communication, solid research, and client management abilities
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends during peak tax periods
