Senior Hydrogeologist

Overview

In this role you will lead and shape hydrogeologic projects, combining field investigations, modeling, and analysis to support groundwater management. You will mentor junior staff, guide project teams, and drive client communications and proposals. The position emphasizes technical leadership and business development within a multidisciplinary natural resources team. You will work across sites in the Northwestern U.S. and contribute to meaningful groundwater solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and oversee hydrogeologic field investigations and data collection
  • Lead technical discussions with field staff and manage budgeting, scheduling, and client communications
  • Conduct hydrogeologic analyses and groundwater modeling; prepare technical reports
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership across project teams
  • Lead business-development activities, identify potential clients, and assist with proposals
  • Develop field exploration programs and construction project plans
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients, owners, and regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate projects from start to finish including data collection and reporting
  • Ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related field; Master's preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Licensed as a LHG or PG/LG
  • Experience with Northwestern U.S. groundwater resources, geology and water rights
  • Experience with design and installation of water supply wells
  • Groundwater modeling and mounding analyses experience
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, MODFLOW, SEEP/w, AQTESOLV
  • Valid driver's license; driving experience in the United States; international experience considered
