Overview In this role you will apply structural analysis and mechanical design to develop systems for intelligence applications. You will contribute from concept through development, including prototyping and testing in operational environments. You'll deliver structural hardware, assemblies, and prototypes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer goals. The role offers hands-on problem solving in a dynamic, mission-driven setting with opportunities to shape hardware for national security.

Responsibilities- perform structural analysis of assemblies and components using material resources and standards
- design and develop mechanical systems and hardware
- prototype, test, and verify designs in shop or lab environments
- prepare hardware components, tools, and prototypes for operations
- communicate analysis results and recommendations to technical and management staff
- work with multi-disciplinary teams and adapt to new technologies
Key requirements- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2+ years experience; or Master's with 6 months experience
- U.S. citizenship and Secret security clearance at time of hire; ability to obtain necessary investigations
- willingness to travel to offsite locations for training and testing
- current PE/SE registration is welcome but not required
- ability to fabricate proof-of-concept mock-ups in a shop environment
- experience with material and component testing to verify design fitness
- familiarity with engineering standards and codes (ASTM, AISC, ACI, NDS, IBC) is a plus
- high attention to detail
