Responsibilities- Prepare individual, business and other tax returns for clients across various entities and industries
- Collaborate with the tax team on planning, client interaction, and special tax projects
- Gather relevant tax information from clients to ensure accurate returns
- Evaluate tax scenarios to maximize benefits and develop solutions for engagement teams and clients
- Prepare accounting-related reports in a paperless environment
- Train and mentor junior staff in the tax department
- Attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active CPA license or working toward CPA (EA accepted)
- 2-4 years of tax experience in public accounting
- Solid knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations
- Proactive, self-starter with ability to work independently and in team
- Ability to handle complex tasks and understand the firm's compliance processes
