Overview In this role you will lead the accounting operations for a manufacturing organization in Sheboygan, overseeing both domestic and international activities to ensure accurate reporting and strong controls. You will drive month-end close, cost accounting, and financial analysis, guiding teams across multiple accounting functions to improve efficiency and business performance. Responsibilities- Direct domestic and international accounting operations by leading managers and teams in AP, AR, cost accounting, and general ledger
- Ensure balance sheet accuracy and reconcile accounts; review P&L variances
- Oversee product and inventory costing and support month-end close reporting; improve costing methods
- Supervise financial oversight of foreign subsidiaries, ensuring transactional accuracy, reporting completeness, and compliant accounting
- Lead monthly and quarterly reporting for global entities, including consolidation of COGS and gross margin reporting
- Manage a timely month-end close (target five business days) with high-quality reporting
- Support finance technology needs by maintaining G/L structure, COA, and system enhancements
- Oversee banking and insurance activities: cash management, controls, hedging, investments, and insurance administration
- Drive process improvements, reporting standardization, internal controls, and efficiency initiatives
- Provide leadership for hiring, coaching, performance management, and staff development across the accounting team
