Overview Join Connor Group as a Manager to lead complex client engagements in accounting, financial reporting, and capital market transactions. You will work directly with clients and mentor teams while building specialized expertise across IPOs, M&A, SPACs, and private placements. Responsibilities- Interact directly with clients and collaborate with a diverse team
- Develop specialized expertise across multiple areas
- Supervise, coach, and mentor staff; contribute to performance feedback and training
- Prepare for and facilitate client and team meetings; communicate with engagement leadership
- Deliver high-quality client service and strengthen relationships
- Add value through complex transaction analyses (IPOs, M&A, divestitures, SPACs/reverse mergers, debt/equity placements)
- Understand technical accounting, FASB, and SEC rules; manage deadlines and deliverables
- Lead client relationships and pursue additional engagement opportunities
- Support audits for public and private clients; contribute to revenue analysis and disclosures
- Draft/review financial statements, MD&A, critical accounting policies, capitalization tables, and SEC responses
- Handle SEC filings (S-1, 10-K, 10-Q, etc.) and IFRS/foreign currency consolidations
- Begin to supervise and influence workplace culture and code of conduct
- Engage in market research, pursuits, and expanding social capital to support growth
- Travel up to 10% as needed

Key requirements- 5-7 years of public accounting and industry experience (minimum 3 years in public accounting)
- 3+ years of prior supervisory experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
- CPA license preferred
- Experience with a broad range of industries including tech, biotech, life sciences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented, hard-working, and able to motivate teams
- Ability to manage teams and own work product
- Aptitude for technical accounting research and self-education
- Willingness to act as primary client contact
- Knowledge of IFRS or other international standards is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
