Overview In this role you will lead the facility's financial strategy and operations, partnering with the CEO and senior team to achieve operational and financial goals. You will oversee accounting, reporting, internal controls, and the revenue cycle to ensure accuracy, cash flow, and compliance. You will drive budgeting, capital planning, and cost management, shaping financial decisions in a mission-driven behavioral health setting. Responsibilities- Prepare timely monthly financial statements and ensure reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Maintain internal controls and ensure clean audits with no material deficiencies
- Lead the Revenue Cycle to optimize cash collections, reduce bad debt, and minimize denials
- Oversee front-end revenue cycle processes including insurance verification and patient portion determination
- Coordinate cost reporting and required regulatory disclosures
- Manage budgeting, variance analysis, and strategic planning processes
- Oversee departments such as Accounting, Patient Accounting, Health Information Management, Materials Management, and HR
- Monitor purchasing against budget and optimize supply costs under Group Purchasing
- Oversee capital budgeting and depreciation, ensuring asset records are accurate
- Support CEO with capital equipment requests and financial policy development
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field with major in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years CFO experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Behavioral health experience preferred
- CPA or Master's degree a plus
- Proven financial analysis skills
- Experience with IT systems and proficiency in Excel and Word
