Overview

In this role you will lead a regional data center construction team, coaching Construction Managers and Project Engineers to deliver scalable data center capacity. You will drive the construction lifecycle from pre-construction through on-site delivery, aligning with Finance and cross-functional partners to meet capital budgets and timelines. You will foster a high-performing, innovative culture while ensuring safety, cost, and quality in mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems. This is a strategic, impact-focused role with a clear growth and leadership path within Amazon's data center program.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, develop and coach Construction Managers and Project Engineers
  • Strategically and tactically manage regional construction capacity delivery
  • Communicate and guide Finance on capital budgets
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams supporting development and launch
  • Develop and manage regional performance metrics
  • Coordinate with Business Development on land and facility acquisition
  • Oversee safety, cost and quality of data center deliverables
Key requirements
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • 4+ years in general contractor and vendor management related to construction and project execution
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data center operations (feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, PDU, chillers, pumps, AHUs, CRAC)
  • Experience in management and in handling RFPs, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking
  • Experience hiring, developing and managing high-performing technical teams
