Overview In this role you will drive growth for Stantec's mining business in the western US while leading and delivering complex environmental projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to expand client relationships, pursue opportunities, and implement an integrated services approach. You'll manage key mining projects from inception through compliance, mentoring staff and coordinating with regulators. This is a scale-up opportunity to shape the western mining footprint and strengthen Stantec's market leadership.

Responsibilities- Set and pursue the vision for Western US mining business expansion
- Grow and manage multiple mining sector client accounts
- Develop and maintain broad client relationships across the sector
- Identify and lead BD opportunities aligned with strategic plans
- Drive revenue growth across Stantec services with integrated offerings
- Collaborate with regional leaders to hit business performance targets
- Support recruitment and development of subject-matter experts and account managers
- Lead strategic planning and win strategies for mining sector growth
- Oversee permitting, planning, and regulatory-compliant mining-related projects
- Mentor staff in technical practices, regulatory strategy, and project management
- Coordinate with clients, regulators, and government bodies
- Manage environmental analyses and resource surveys for mining projects
- Oversee NEPA and other regulatory requirements compliance and QC of final products
- Drive integrated service delivery across business lines
- Demonstrate leadership in safety culture and business ethics
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across teams and client engagements
Key requirements- Strong PM and BD skills with mining client relationship experience
- Top-line management experience >$5M net revenue per year
- Solid mining sector understanding
- Proven credibility with senior client outcomes
- Extensive experience in environmental consulting for mining clients
- Team leadership and collaborative work style
- Technical problem-solving for mining client needs
- Willingness to travel and valid driver's license
