Overview In this role, you will support fund formation matters within DLA Piper's Investment Funds Group, focusing on drafting and negotiating fund documents and coordinating closings. You'll work closely with partners, clients, and cross office teams to deliver timely, accurate work and develop client relationships. The position offers growth in a collaborative, high performing environment with opportunities to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to a trusted investment funds practice.

Responsibilities- Draft and negotiate fund organizational documents and investor side letters
- Coordinate investor closings and related processes
- Communicate clearly with partners, lawyers, clients, and staff; ensure timely deliverables
- Analyze complex legal issues and apply research to facts
- Provide accurate and well reasoned work product; meet deadlines
- Be available to support client needs, including outside regular hours
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and staff
- Observe Firm policies and contribute to a collaborative culture
- Travel for client meetings, advocacy, or business development as needed
- Support business development and client engagement initiatives
Key requirements- 1-3 years of experience in fund formation matters
- Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred
- Strong analytical and writing skills; attention to detail
- Good business judgment and organizational skills
