Overview

As an AI-native Senior Builder at Ring, you own end-to-end development of new device experiences that enhance neighborhood safety. You combine technical product management with full-stack development across app, cloud, and device firmware to move concepts from ideation to production. You will validate ideas using automated data analysis, build rapid prototypes with AI-coding tools, and set AI-native standards adopted across rings teams. Your work shapes next-gen connectivity, power, and notification experiences while leading multi-contributor workstreams. This role offers impact at scale within a mission-driven, AI-first environment.

Responsibilities
  • Build rapid functional prototypes and launch features using AI-coding tools (e.g., Cursor) and Git workflows for exploration and reviews of ideas, UX, and feasibility.
  • Drive ideation and early validation through automated analysis of internal data, market research, and competitive insights.
  • Lead engineering workstreams across app, cloud, and device firmware; manage multiple Builders and accelerate delivery with GenAI-enabled, high-quality code.
  • Define product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prioritize across customer experience, performance, profitability, and support load; resolve strategic or tactical blockers.
  • Lead next-generation connectivity, device power, and notification experiences.
  • Identify and automate repetitive workflows using agentic processes for cross-functional teams.
  • Define AI-native systems and standards for product work and sponsor AI transformation initiatives beyond the team.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or product management with AI-powered applications
  • Experience using LLMs and AI coding tools for strategy, data analysis, UX design, and iterative development
  • Experience building applications that incorporate GenAI (LLM calls, RAG, agentic workflows, evals)
  • Ability to champion the voice of customer from idea to launch
  • Experience leading cross-team or cross-functional workstreams with measurable business outcomes
