Overview In this role you will lead enterprise-wide construction efforts to support growth, new store development, and operational excellence. You will partner with senior leaders to set strategy, govern cost, schedule, quality, and risk, and coach a team of Directors and Project Managers. You'll drive cross-functional collaboration, implement data-driven problem solving, and ensure timely, high-quality store openings. Responsibilities- Provide enterprise-level leadership over construction activities aligned to company goals
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Real Estate, Legal, Store Planning, IT, AP, Facilities, New Store Opening Team, Operations) to remove roadblocks and drive decisions
- Set plans, priorities, and expectations with KPIs, milestones, and status reporting
- Apply data-driven problem solving to assess options, manage risks, and protect schedule, budget, and quality
- Drive operational efficiency and consistent execution standards across construction to improve on-time openings
- Develop Directors and Project Managers through coaching and feedback
- Own the master CPM construction timeline and governance across the project life cycle
- Guide new store project delivery on schedule and quality
- Develop construction budgets with Real Estate and negotiate with landlords' teams; VE where appropriate
- Set communication standards with partners and consultants to ensure cohesive documents
- Review and redline exhibits with Real Estate and Legal; assess project risks and implement mitigations
- Oversee CPM schedules from lease execution to turnover and grand-opening; develop preliminary schedules and lead reviews
- Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional partners to develop SOW and construction documents
- Report project updates to executive leadership to maintain pipeline integrity
- Resolve obstacles and adjust for corporate needs to ensure timely store openings
- Oversee HVAC commissioning and turnover compliance to Facilities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree; 10+ years in progressive leadership managing multi-site retail or commercial construction programs
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs with executive stakeholder engagement
- Strong program and scheduling management experience; leading multidisciplinary, high-performance teams
