Overview As a Project Manager, you will lead architectural projects from planning to construction, guiding cross-disciplinary teams and maintaining design integrity, schedules, and budgets. You will serve as the main client contact and drive delivery in a dynamic design environment. A licensed architect in California is preferred to bring both creative vision and technical rigor. Responsibilities- Lead and manage architectural projects through all phases of design and construction
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and timely delivery
- Serve as primary client contact throughout project development
- Oversee the preparation and review of design documentation and construction drawings
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations
- Support internal resourcing, consultant coordination, and team performance
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and AECOM standards
- May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists
- May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades
- Provide architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within project schedules and budgets
Key requirements- Bachelor's from an accredited program
- 6+ years of professional experience or demonstrated equivalency
- Preferred: Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Licensed Architect in California (preferred)
- Experience in architectural project management, including California market
- Proficiency in design and project management software (Revit, AutoCAD, MS Project)
- LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience
- Strong understanding of California building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with public and private sector projects, including mixed-use, commercial, and institutional developments
