Overview

In this market-facing role, you will underwrite and renew Financial Lines (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime) for private and nonprofit clients from our Philadelphia office. You'll actively pursue renewal and new business opportunities, build and maintain distributor and client relationships, and assess growth opportunities to support our sales-driven culture. You will collaborate with line-of-business partners, mentor teammates, and ensure underwriting rules and regulations are followed. This role offers meaningful impact through shaping risk solutions for key accounts in a collaborative, metrics-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and renew Financial Lines business for D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents/brokers) and customers
  • Support and facilitate sales culture; act as a Help Point for agents and clients
  • Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities; conduct opportunity assessments
  • Qualify accounts to align with appetite and business opportunities
  • Conduct broker/customer on-site calls with purpose and preparation
  • Mentor and develop team members
  • Coordinate with line-of-business and other stakeholders on needs and initiatives
Key requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years (underwriting/market facing) or 10+ years (claims/underwriting support)
  • Or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an associate degree and relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience handling quotes for new and renewal business within time constraints
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • For AVP: 7+ years (underwriting/market facing) or 14+ years (claims/underwriting support); additional accounting/banking/risk management exposure as applicable
  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Underwriting knowledge in Financial Lines (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime)
