Responsibilities- Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to prepare competitive bids
- Attend pre-bid meetings to gather requirements and align on scope
- Solicit material and subcontractor quotes to support bid packages
- Ensure all elements required to bid and win are prepared and complete
- Collaborate with Project Management to follow up on bids and budgets to close business
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in bid-related deliverables
- Work independently with a high degree of quality and reliability
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent
- 3-5 years of related heavy civil construction, marine construction, or dredging estimating experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (HCSS, B2W)
- Negotiation experience
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Around 25% travel for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meetings
