Overview

In this role you will build and manage a scalable pipeline of independent agencies for Walmart Connect, guiding them from qualification to ongoing growth. You will partner with agency leaders to align on client priorities and retail media needs, driving activation and incremental investment across Walmart's advertising solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to remove barriers, optimize onboarding, and scale performance for agencies and advertisers. This role offers strategic influence in expanding Walmart Connect's independent agency ecosystem and delivering measurable revenue impact.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of net-new independent agencies
  • Develop relationships with agency executives to understand clients and retail media needs
  • Source opportunities via direct outreach, Partner Network, DSP/tech partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Own the agency journey from qualification through onboarding, activation, first campaign, and early growth
  • Manage onboarded agencies through activation milestones and transition to long-term growth cohorts
  • Drive advertiser participation, incremental investment, and adoption across Walmart Connect solutions
  • Develop scalable acquisition and onboarding programs to improve conversion and activation
  • Coordinate with Sales, Product, Marketing, Measurement, Operations, Partner Network, Training and tech teams
  • Maintain CRM, pipeline, and forecasting to track acquisition, activation, revenue, product adoption, engagement, and retention
  • Translate agency feedback and market trends into product/process improvements
Key requirements
  • Experience in business development, partnerships, media sales, digital advertising, retail media, or related fields
  • Ability to manage full BD lifecycle from prospecting through activation and growth
  • Proven track record of building pipelines and converting opportunities to revenue
  • Strong commercial judgment enabling prioritization of high-impact opportunities
  • Ability to translate ad products and measurement solutions into clear commercial value
  • Experience developing scalable partner programs, onboarding processes, or growth strategies
  • Strong CRM, forecasting, and performance management discipline
  • Data-driven decision making using market insights and competitive dynamics
  • Excellent relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and communication with agencies, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Knowledge of agency ecosystem and digital advertising solutions (search, display, programmatic, DSP, Connected TV, measurement, attribution)
