Overview In this role you will lead technical design for the woven and denim bottoms ready-to-wear line, partnering with Design, Merchandising, Product Development and Production to ensure fit, construction and quality from concept to production. You will own patternmaking, fit blocks, and technical specs, guiding offshore partners and suppliers to maintain design intent across sizes. This position offers a pivotal role in delivering high-quality luxury products on schedule while shaping cross-functional collaboration and technical excellence. Responsibilities- Develop and update technical specifications and tech packs for proto development and production
- Collaborate with Design, Merchandising and Production to foresee issues and suggest design-aligned technical solutions
- Review proto samples and fit intent; propose adjustments
- Lead fitting sessions, capture and communicate fit feedback
- Build and maintain fit blocks for woven products; ensure cross-functional alignment
- Coordinate with offshore offices and suppliers on technical issues, updates, and sample feedback
- Maintain size-range design intent and adjust for different sizes
- Release graded specs upon approval; manage T&A and tight deadlines
- Travel as needed to fit product with offshore teams and suppliers
- Manage and develop a team, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and maintain standards
- Demonstrate cross-functional partnership to balance fit, construction, cost, and calendar
- Schedule fit models and ensure timely fit approvals across relevant styles
- Ensure technical standards and consistency across products across category
Key requirements- 8-10+ years in Technical Design, patternmaking, garment construction, and fittings
- Strong knowledge of woven fabrics, materials, construction, and fit execution
- Experience managing and developing team members with clear direction and feedback
- Strong leadership and cross-functional influence in fast-paced environments
- Ability to lead live-model and fit-form fittings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PDF tools, and related technical design systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication; high attention to detail and organization
- Flexible and adaptable to deadlines and changing priorities
