Overview

In this role you manage multi-disciplined transportation construction inspection projects for public agencies, ensuring scope, budget and schedule alignment while delivering high-quality infrastructure programs. You'll lead client relationships, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee plans, cost estimates and bid packages for highway and interchange improvements. You contribute to value, safety, and community impact through strong technical leadership and proactive communication. This position offers growth within a respected engineering firm focused on transportation projects at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multi-disciplinary projects for public agencies
  • Provide project management for all construction inspection projects
  • Build and maintain client relationships and pursue new work
  • Meet or exceed project financial goals
  • Coordinate project activities including deliverables, schedule, and budget
  • Oversee plans, specs, cost estimates, reports, and bid packages for state highway projects
  • Provide guidance to inspection staff and process change orders, payments, and closeout
  • Review shop drawings and plans for alignments, drainage, traffic control, utilities, and right-of-way
  • Establish client technical staff interfaces and participate in technical decision-making
  • Prepare technical and cost proposals
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of engineering experience with broad transportation knowledge
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
  • PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification preferred
  • NECEPT Field Technician Certification preferred
  • NICET Level III Certification or higher in Highway Construction preferred
  • Formal project management training preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
