Overview In this role you own and elevate the end-to-end AP function while growing the AP team. You will optimize workflows, strengthen controls, and manage escalations and stakeholder relationships to ensure efficient, accurate processing. You'll drive process improvements, support month- and year-end activities, and contribute to system changes impacting AP. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused position with a clear impact on operations and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end AP function (invoice processing, approvals, payment execution, vendor reconciliation, AP performance)
- Coach and develop the AP team, boosting accountability and cross-training
- Own AP controls, escalations, and stakeholder relationships across the business
- Monitor AP aging and drive resolution of outstanding issues
- Support month-end and year-end activities (accruals, account reconciliations, 1099 reporting)
- Identify and execute process, workflow, automation, and efficiency improvements
- Prepare AP reporting and KPIs and leverage data to identify issues and opportunities
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations affecting AP
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in business management
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounts payable experience with leadership responsibility
- End-to-end accounts payable knowledge
- Prior direct supervisory experience
- Experience improving processes within a complex AP environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
