Overview In this role, you support multiple tax specialties (Indirect Tax, Tax Accounting, Tax Compliance) within Arconic's tax function. You will help ensure compliance, accurate tax returns, and analyses that inform tax provision and planning. You work with cross-functional teams to resolve tax issues and improve processes, contributing to Arconic's value creation and operational excellence. The role offers exposure to national tax matters and a chance to shape the company's tax posture.
Responsibilities- Compile and file sales and use tax returns to ensure compliance with state and local requirements
- Prepare and file sales and use tax refund claims as needed
- Resolve sales and use tax notices
- Monthly reconciliation of domestic tax account balances and the sales and use tax accrual
- Assist Director - Tax with quarterly income tax calculations and provision analysis
- Assist Senior Manager - Federal & State Tax with federal and state income tax return preparation, including estimated payments
- Assist Manager - State Tax with franchise tax return preparation
- Perform miscellaneous tax filings
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related subject
- Minimum 3 years experience in tax compliance
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Experience with CorpTax
- Experience with CorpSales
