Overview In this role, you will provide senior tax leadership within RSM's Financial Services Insurance team to deliver technical guidance and strong client service. You will balance tax strategy, planning, and compliance for insurance clients while mentoring staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams. You'll manage complex issues, stay current on tax laws, and contribute to business development and service quality. Responsibilities- Provide tax technical guidance on insurance-related issues
- Lead or support staff development and training
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and service teams while managing risk
- Serve as Tax client service coordinator for selected clients
- Advise on corporate tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and M&A activities
- Review research findings for consistency with firm policies
- Assist with new business development and tax issue recognition for existing clients
- Manage corporate tax needs and federal/state compliance
- Stay up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field
- Active CPA license in principal place of business/home state (or equivalent)
- Minimum 8 years in public accounting or insurance-focused experience
- Ability to work closely with clients to gather information for tax services
- Experience with C-Corps, S-Corps or Partnerships
