Overview

As an Operations Service Manager at Burlington, you drive store-wide operational excellence and lead by example. You mentor and coach a team of Customer Service and Cashier staff, ensuring top-tier service, policy compliance, and secure handling of funds. You own the execution of SOPs for operations and receiving, and you partner with leadership to maintain accurate inventory and smooth customer flow. This role combines people leadership with hands-on store operations, offering impact across customer experience, asset protection, and business results. Responsibilities
  • Lead Customer Service and Cashier teams to ensure policy compliance, security of funds, asset protection, sales, and record-keeping.
  • Guide Customer Service Supervisors to meet service expectations and maintain smooth register flow.
  • Oversee overall execution of operations and receiving SOPs.
  • Manage the receiving process (transfers, debits, damages, chargebacks) with the Receiving Supervisor to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) to lead by example for customers and associates and drive store results.
  • Support Store Manager with staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning.
  • Assist in managing other store operations areas as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with District and Regional Management.
Key requirements
  • 3+ years of Retail Management or Store Operations experience in Off Price, Big Box, Specialty, or medium to large-sized multi-unit retail.
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs.
  • Experience using scheduling and reporting computer software.
  • Travel may be required.
