Overview In this role you will drive Datastage DevOps activities within a DW/BI context, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and production readiness. You will work on patching, performance tuning, and end-to-end IIS architecture support, while aligning with global delivery objectives. This position offers impact through tooling, automation, and standards that shape data workflows across the project lifecycle. You will also engage stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
Responsibilities- Hands-on Datastage DevOps using SVN, uBuild and uDeploy; manage IIS server related tasks
- Shell scripting with NFS, NDM, SFTP, server clustering
- Datastage server maintenance, patch install support
- Autosys upgrade
- Datastage coding to certify sandbox for new versions; code retrofit to lower environments
- Performance optimization; maintaining & monitoring Unix and Datastage servers
- Knowledge of IBM metadata, fast track, lineage; End-to-End IIS architecture understanding
- Define standards and best practices; interact with stakeholders to document and publish to team
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Software developers, DBAs to achieve project objectives
- Experience in a Global delivery environment
Key requirements- DW/BI experience with ETL/ELT concepts
- Backend RDBMS experience (Oracle and DB2 preferred)
- Datastage design, development & build exposure (v8.5+)
- SDLC experience
- DW/BI technologies and tools experience (3+ years)
- Project lifecycle experience in DW/BI development/maintenance
- Design and Architecture review experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent; willing to consider 1 year of experience per missing year of education
