EBP Audit Manager - HYBRID

In this role you will lead and oversee Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audits, ensuring compliance with ERISA, IRS and DOL requirements. You'll plan risk-based engagements, supervise staff, and deliver clear findings with remediation guidance in a hybrid setting. You'll collaborate with plan administrators, external auditors and leadership to improve audit methods and client service. This position offers meaningful impact by shaping EBP audit programs and driving continual improvements in quality and efficiency.

• Lead end-to-end audits of Employee Benefit Plans (401(k), 403(b), pension, health & welfare).
• Develop risk-based audit plans and define scope, objectives, and testing procedures.
• Execute fieldwork, test controls, verify data, analyze compliance, document findings.
• Prepare audit reports and management letters with actionable remediation timelines.
• Present results to clients and internal leadership; drive remediation discussions and follow-up testing.
• Supervise and develop audit staff; assign tasks and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with external auditors, plan administrators, TPAs and legal counsel as needed.
• Maintain thorough audit documentation per firm policies and standards.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting EBPs and update audit programs accordingly.
• Drive process improvements in audit methodology, tools, and reporting.

• Bachelor in Accounting or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in auditing with at least 3 years on EBP audits.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, GAAP, DOL and IRS requirements for EBPs.
• Experience leading engagements and supervising staff with project management skills.
• Hands-on experience auditing 401(k), 403(b), pension and Health & Welfare programs.
• Experience collaborating with plan administrators and third-party service providers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with audit software, Excel, and data analytics tools.
• Hybrid work capability with occasional travel to client sites.
