Estimator/Cost Estimator - Gateway

In this role you will support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project by delivering accurate cost estimates for heavy civil works, tunneling, and related activities. You work within a multidisciplinary Arcadis team and with partners to manage scope, pricing, and budget adherence. You will update cost tracking, participate in value engineering, and keep estimates current amid market trends. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape a nationally significant infrastructure program and its cost outcomes.

• Analyze drawings, specs, and documentation to define scope and quantities for tunnel construction
• Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, labor cost estimation, and subcontractor analysis to build comprehensive estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to understand requirements and scheduling impacts on cost
• Maintain a cost tracking system to monitor expenditures and identify variances
• Participate in value engineering, risk assessments, and cost-saving initiatives
• Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to keep estimates competitive

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• Minimum 8 years' experience as estimator, cost estimator, or quantity surveyor in tunnel construction or infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in cost estimating software, construction cost databases, and MS Excel for analysis and reporting
